NON-DEPARTMENTAL PRODUCTIONS

audition information | open space guidelines | non-departmental productions

Grinnell College students enjoy theatre, and theatrical events happen nearly every weekend. As only two student-directed shows per semeseter can be Open Space shows, some student-directed theatre does not have formal departmental support. This page is for non-departmental productions.

Message from GIT:

Grinnell Independent Theatre is looking for projects this semester! Ever wanted to direct? Design? Build? Act? Produce? ..... Email [haile] with your ideas.

You could do an acting project in a role you've always wanted, conduct a reading of your choice of plays (I have a couple of Kate Aspengren's, the visiting playwright professor...), set up a new acting/improv group, direct a play, teach a seminar, design the costumes/set/lights/sound for a production..... any and all ideas will be heard. Even if all you need is a copy code for a staged reading or a space to deliver a monologue, contact
GIT for help.

Even if your ideas are still tentative, GIT will help you make a community of people willing to make it happen.
