The poetic interdisciplinary production combines puppetry, singing, 3D animation, and masks. This “subconscious theatre” performance premiered earlier this year at Taiwan’s National Experimental Theatre and was remounted at the 2008 Avignon-Off Festival in France. Auditions are open to all members of the Grinnell community regardless of acting experience…

Previous dance experience is not a requirement but a desired qualification. In the past, students with no dance experience but with demonstrated potential have become troupe members.

Grinnell College Dance Troupe began over twenty years ago and enjoys two productions each year as part of the Department of Theatre and Dance’s season. Company members study modern dance and related techniques and perform each semester. Fall Forward, the fall semester new choreography showing, features works by student choreographers. The spring dance production offers students the opportunity to perform works by faculty and guest choreographers.
