Latin American Women Writers

Professor Helena Percas de Ponseti began her scholarly career by examining the poetry of Argentine women poets. Her pioneering research in this field resulted in the publication of numerous articles and the major work La poesía femenina argentina (1810-1950) . Professor Percas de Ponseti gathered a large number of primary and secondary sources by and on women authors from all over Latin America. Upon retiring she donated these books to the Department which has made the collection available for consultation and examination in the office vestibule (ARH 220). There is an index (by author and topic) to assist those wishing to use the materials.
