Satellite TV

The Audio-Visual Center receives broadcasts in Spanish via satellite. Because the broadcasts often occur at times when students and faculty are unable to come to the Center, personnel in the Audio-Visual Center will tape programs upon request.

CANAL DE NOTICIAS

News from around the world in Spanish. Main stories are repeated throughout the day. Video reception is good.

GALAVISIÓN & UNIVISIÓN

Both channels offer a broad range of programs: news, talk shows, music, game and variety shows, situation comedies, soap operas, films etc. Soap operas are often rebroadcasts of programs made in Mexico. Video reception is good.

GEMS

A channel devoted in large part, at least during the day, to soap operas.
Video reception is good.

MORELOS

A satellite through which a number of channels directly from Mexico are available. Video reception is not always of equal quality on all channels each day. Full range of programming and a number of dubbed programs from the United States.

SCOLA

A satellite service which rebroadcasts programs (mostly news) from all over the world. Transmission times change so students and faculty should consult the Audio-Visual Center for the most up-to-date schedule.
