Coke machines overturned
Between 3 and 6 a.m. on Saturday, some students on South campus heard a loud crash. It was later found that two Coke vending machines in the loggia had been tipped over. Steve Briscoe, director of Security, said that there were also fireworks going off in the area. [more]

SGA VP elections to be held after fall break
Following fall break, SGA is holding elections for Vice President. Current Vice-President Andy Grimm ‘05 has decided to take a medical leave of absence from Grinnell, and is resigning his position in SGA effective Friday, Oct. 8. The election will work like normal SGA cabinet elections, with a candidate debate before the voting. [more]

Where can you park on campus?
So far this year, Security has issued 303 student parking permits. Currently, however, existing lots only provide 223 parking spots. Eighty-six additional spaces are reserved for faculty, student or staff cars. The Darby parking lot’s destruction and the Loose lot’s change from student to faculty/staff parking have contributed to these deficits and the consequent student frustration. [more]
