Grinnell College will be on Semester Break from October 16-24.
Watch out for the next issue of the S&B on October 29th, 2004.

On Saturday, Oct. 2, Dagohir House took over central campus for the second annual Grinnell College Renaissance Faire. Above, Emer Griffen ‘03 returned to Grinnell to demonstrate the art of eating fire. Organized by House Manager Kent Cubbage ‘06, the Faire brought together local vendors and performances by the belly dancing ExCo class, Irish clogging by junior Molly Riley, medieval dance instruction from the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a Celtic harp concert, and storytelling. Dagohir members offered face painting, hair braiding, chess, and free food at tables around the green. Passers-by were invited to try their hand at foam sword fighting, breathe fire or hire brothers Kent Cubbage ‘06 and Geoffrey Cubbage ‘08 to put friends and families in the stocks. Running from 12-5 p.m., the Faire drew an estimated crowd of over a hundred people.
