What would Grinnell be without INSLab?
Right now, I am sitting in INSLab. In addition to this newspaper column, I have the documents for two papers and a presentation opened in Microsoft Word. Not to mention www.grinnellplans.com, Microsoft Outlook Express, www.thefacebook.com, the rankings for the Kentucky Derby and CNN.com coverage of Renee Zellweger’s wedding. If Hell Week was a place, it would be INSLab. If Hell were a place, well we all have our own experiences and opinions.

The good, the bad, the ugly of Spain
I have a headache and a hat. I have a headache because I’ve been sitting here for two hours eating Nutella out of the jar with a baby spoon while working on a presentation on three Picasso paintings. I have a hat that’s black and a little poofy with a small bill so that I match the artists in the paintings. It’s officially become my Picasso hat: my artist hat: my crazy fashion hat: my Spain hat.

Okay, “Ich bin ein Berliner” it’s not. But when President Bush declared “Glory to Georgia” in the Georgian tongue before 150,000 people in T’bilisi, it was probably received just as pointedly in Russia as John F. Kennedy’s German utterance. As formerly Soviet states slip one by one out of the backwards-looking Russian orbit, Vladimir Putin is worried.
