Students put budget petition to faculty
In about a week, several students plan to circulate a petition among professors that demands greater disclosure from college administration and trustees on budget issues. The petition follows a letter by Cid Standifer ‘07, Eric Omwega ‘08, Ezekiel Hausfather ‘05 and Emily Iwuc ‘08 asking faculty to voluntarily accept a cut in salaries. [more]

Library Planning Committee asks for community input

Bookstore break-in and two Forum vandalisms among recent campus crimes
Sometime between 2 and 4 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 24, a vandal broke into the college bookstore by breaking the inside and outside doors. The perpetrator scattered Sweet Tarts and DVD ROMs inside and outside the store, according to bookstore assistant manager Harley McIlrath. [more]

International student financial aid goes need-sensitive
Two changes have been made to Grinnell’s financial aid policy, affecting both international and domestic students. Grinnell is changing its admissions policy for international students away from a “need-blind” admission policy to what Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Jim Sumner described as “need-sensitive”.
