Lara Janson ‘05 as Electra (center) explains to the Chorus (Renee Lynch ‘08, Mary Tarullo ‘05 and Jenny Rosenbaum ‘07) her grief over her father’s death in the Theatre Department’s production of Sophocles’ Electra, which will open Friday, March 11. Director Chris Connelly and his production team have taken elements from several different cultures to adapt this production to reflect the timelessness of Electra’s struggle. Other cast members include David Churchman ‘07 as Aegisthus, Omondi Kasidhi ‘05 as Orestes, Dale Mackey ‘06 as Chrysothemis, Laura Marx ‘07 as Clytemnestra, Andrew Polta ‘08 as the Old Man and Anh Trinh ‘05 as a Chorus member.
