Tony Harrison ‘05 discusses racial diversity in departments and course curriculums at the “Let's Talk About Race” open forum held on the Forum lawn Wednesday. The event, which was sponsored by several campus groups, including CBS, CARW and SOL, attracted around 100 students and professors, several of whom voiced their concerns over a perceived lack of diversity and emphasized a need for more multi-culturally-conscious courses. Archie Tyson ‘06, one of the organizers of the event, said that he planned to hold another open forum next fall to ensure that the issue of racial diversity garners more attention from faculty and administrators.
