Track season begins at Iowa State, Mt. Vernon
The men’s and women’s track season opened with a meet at Iowa State University last Saturday, Jan. 31, and produced some good Pioneers scores and some interesting international tensions.

“There wasn’t anything specific said,” said guard Emily Kolbe ‘07. “I think our team just realized what we had to come out and do to win this game. They were right behind us in the conference standings. We just realized what we had to do and came out and got it done.”

Swimmers roll over Augustana: Conference is next weekend
Lined up shoulder-to-shoulder, the Senior Grinnell swimmers and divers stretched from lane one to lane six. According to Hurley, they were large enough in numbers to comprise their own conference team.
