Grinnell softball has had an exciting season, but one of the most exciting things about Grinnell’s softball team is Kate Reynolds ‘05. So far this season, Reynolds has been named to the Hy-Vee All-Tournament team. (The Pioneers went 2-1 in that tournament.)

Defending champs must defend
The Pioneers will have their chance to defend their 2002 Midwest Conference championship, as they will be participating in the tournament for the seventh straight year. This year, they head to Madison, Wis., where the tournament will be played from April 25-27. Grinnell earned the spot by going 4-0 in the South Division of the MWC this year and has been playing good tennis of late, although their tough non-conference matches brought their overall record down to 10-12. A cast of newcomers to the program, including six freshman, will have to step it up for the Pioneers to regain the conference title this year.
