ITS plans to replace WebMail
Three years ago students were sad to see the VAX/Dreams email system replaced by WebMail. Now, they must prepare to say goodbye to WebMail, which will be gone next semester. The most likely replacement is Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access (OWA), a more powerful and complex web-based program. Although students today may have the same nostalgic emotions as the Vax/Dreams users of yesteryear did, ITS hopes a long transition period will ease the change for students. [more]

College gives $1 million to community
Grinnell College recently pledged $1 million to the community of Grinnell to support construction of a new gymnasium and auditorium at the high school, construction of a proposed public safety building, construction at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell Renaissance and assorted other projects.
