For the first few weeks of school, the sight of an upside-down flag hanging out of a Younker third story window was part of the walk along Park street from the academic buildings to North Campus dorms. Then, in late September, two Grinnell police officers told the students who hung the flag that such a display was illegal, and the students took it down.

Student-run shuttles?
Josh Rosenbluh ’05 posts a lot of loggia signs. He’s an organizer for the Environmental Action Group, the Student Academic Computing Committee and the Free Software Users Group. He’s also the Hall Social Coordinator for Cowles, Dibble and Norris halls and an active member of Free the Planet and Students Against Sweatshops. Until last month, though, he’d never been asked to take a sign down.
