A Day in the Life of:

Stephanie Masta, RLC

5:15 a.m. Alarm goes off. I jump out of bed ready to start my day! (This is all true. I define ?morning person.?)

5:30 a.m. Change into my workout clothes and give Wylie, my cat, a cat treat. Head over to the PEC to make sure I can grab a cardio machine.

6 a.m. Work out. A 45 minute run/walk and about 20 minutes of strength training.

7:30 a.m. Get ready, eat breakfast, give Wylie more cat treats.

9 a.m. Meeting with Tom Crady, Sheree Andrews and Jennifer Krohn about upcoming housing issues.

9:30 a.m. Check e-mail and Plans five times while completing the first issue of the Bovine Muncher.

11 a.m. Run upstairs and have a catch-up conversation with some students.

11:30 a.m. Meeting with Adrienne Enriquez ?98, who works in the office of Admission. We met to talk about the Summer Institute/Honors Scholar program and its budget. Adrienne amused me with stories about what campus was like when she was here.

1 p.m. Create study break fliers for upcoming CND study breaks, and follow up with Laura Gogg about room draw.

2 p.m. Individual meeting with Jennifer Krohn. We talk about group draws, houses and letters of recommendation.

2:30 p.m. Discuss Harry Potter with Laura Gogg and our hypotheses about book six and the outcome of the series.

3 p.m. Check email but don?t respond to them all. Need to do that in the morning.

4 p.m. Relax.

5 p.m. Go to Hy-Vee for staff meeting snacks. The CND staff is happiest when there is food.

6 p.m. Dinner with Kat Henry ?06

7 p.m. Watch 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' while cleaning my living room and preparing snacks for the staff meeting.

9 p.m. Finish preparing snacks guacamole, salsa, cheese dip, spinach dip, hummus. Wait for meeting to begin.

10 p.m. CND student staff meeting. Our thesis for the meeting is that fear is an OK evil. We discuss changes to the staff meeting and plan for the semester.

11 p.m. Try to clean up my apartment as best I could. Make a cup of tea to relax.

11:30 p.m. Plan tomorrow's to-do list and go to sleep.
