You will be required to write three formal papers. These assignments will be described in detail on pages linked here; these pages will be added during the course. I should add that we will work together in generating these assignments--both in class and in our discussion list. NB: You will have the option of rewriting assignments in order to improve a given assignment (and its initial evaluation). The deadlines for the papers are as follows:
Paper #1: Friday, February 23rd at 5 p.m. Paper #2: Friday, March 16th at 5 p.m. Paper #3: Tuesday, May 15th at 5 p.m. Please plan your schedules to take these deadlines into account. Unless there are extremely compelling reasons for extending these deadlines, papers handed in after the deadline will be marked down.
