Family endows scholarship at Grinnell College in memory of their son, Tom A. Rothschild Jr.

GRINNELL, Iowa - An endowed scholarship to benefit Grinnell College students was created in the memory of Tom A. Rothschild Jr., a graduate of the class of 1994, by his parents, Tom and Louise Rothschild, and family, of Winnetka, Ill.

The scholarship will be awarded to a Grinnell College student based upon high academic achievement and financial need. The first award will be presented during the second semester of the 2002-2003 academic year.

"Our son loved Grinnell College," said Tom Rothschild. "He had a very good experience there. I think Tom would have appreciated supporting the college in this way. We wanted to emphasize that the scholarship would be given as an incentive for high academic achievement among students who may not have the financial means to continue their education."

Additional contributions to the Tom A. Rothschild Jr. '94 Endowed Scholarship are welcome. For more information, contact the Grinnell College Alumni Relations and Development Office at 1-800-241-5084.
