GRINNELL COLLEGE. 1-year leave replacement position in ethnomusicology.
Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) possible. The
five-course load includes both 1) teaching introductory- and
intermediate-level world music and ethnomusicology courses; and 2) directing
a student ensemble that studies and performs the music of a tradition
outside of the Euro-American canon. In letters of application, candidates
should discuss their interest in developing as a teacher and scholar in
an
undergraduate, liberal-arts environment that emphasizes close
student-faculty interaction and values diversity. To be assured of full
