SUMMER
After July 1: Place orders for approved academic equipment (It is preferable
to spend the funds expeditiously)
Late August: New student music ensembles and lessons orientation session
Late August: AMA lunch
Late August: Chair communicates budget sub-allotments to each account
manager (ensemble directors, etc.)
General Fall tasks: Chair meets with each member of the department to
discuss teaching, scholarship, and service to the College.
- chair meets at least once with SEPC to 1) clarify its role in relation
to the functioning of the department, and 2) obtain its impressions of
the department’s programs and the performance of the department’s
faculty members. 3) To define the SEPC's role in any reviews to be conducted
in the given year.
