Robert
works for Wells Fargo as a teller and Linda is a Software Application Specialist for Grinnell College and teaches evening computer
classes at Iowa Valley Community College.
How
they met
Robert
and I met in the online game, Ascheron's Call. We got to know
each other during various adventures and activites that occurred
in the clan of which we were both members. Slowly we began to
also get to know each other in real life and soon we were traveling
back and forth between Georgia and Iowa until Robert finally
moved to Iowa.
The
engagement
Robert
and Linda were attending Robert's father's wedding in North
Carolina when Robert proposed to Linda. Originally he was going
to ask her on the beach in the sunset but his dad and the new
bride who knew what he was up to insisted that he propose to
Linda during the reception so that they could celebrate the
proposal as well. Robert and Linda were sitting across from
the bride and groom when Robert suddenly got down on his knee
and with shaking hands started trying to pull the ring box from
his coat pocket. Janice, the bride, yelled for the microphone
to be brought and that got Robert panicking even more. He managed
to get the ring out and the question popped before Janice got
the microphone rounded up and with shaking hand he put the ring
on Linda's finger. Oh, Linda managed to catch the bride's bouquet
as well.
