Job Summary The Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for the operation of our cash operations

venues, The Global Café and The Spencer Grill. These are retail cash operations that serve coffee, beverages, sandwichesi pizzas, and snack items to the Grinnell College community. The Retail Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Global Café or The Spencer Grill to include supervising and training student and other staff in food preparation, service, and sanitation of the operation. A Managers ServSafe Certification is required for this position with the ability to be certified after being hired. This person needs to have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work with and in a diverse college community.

Responsibility Work in the operation to assist staff during peak periods and when staff is at a minimal

level. Meet all quality and safety standards and supervise student staff to assure quality and standards are met,

Responsibility Clean, sanitize work area and direct staff to meet Federal, State and College standards, and including practice of good personal hygiene.

General Responsibilities
