Weekly Meetings: Email: Plans: Officers: Co-Chair |
24 September, 2007 Our goal as the Grinnell College Campus Republicans is two-fold. First, we want to provide a forum for political open-mindedness on the Grinnell College campus. Most importantly, we feel that offering a voice of alternative opinions on the campus is productive and should not be discouraged, because such dissidence is an integral part of the liberal arts experience. While most members are of a conservative ideology, not all are, nor are they required to be. We want to offer a regular opportunity, through weekly meetings, for students of all political persuasions and different ideologies to come together and communicate about the value of informed voting in the democratic process. Our second goal is to provide such information to the campus at large, through regular channels of communication (that is, bathroom posters), so that Grinnell College students may be informed of their decisions when they make them. These two services make the Grinnell College Campus Republicans a valuable and necessary part of the Grinnell experience that should not be discouraged because our opinions are different than the majorities 17 September, 2007 |
