People say heroes are made, not born. Ben Brintz was the exception. At a very early age, Ben showed his power for both depth perception and reaction speed, thus empowering him to read and catch any disc, especially those thrown by Noah Bindman (they have a mental and physical link). Another power which he inherited from his father is Ben's sophisticated sense of humor. Often times this causes confusion for those without this power. Among the most famous jokes he has made was the one about the injury-suspension rule.
