Consortium for a Strong Minority Presence at Liberal Arts Colleges

Application Instructions:
* Electronic Applications are submitted to Grinnell College, which acts as the operational center for the consortium. After the November 15 deadline, Grinnell College sends all applications, regardless of institutional preferences of candidates, to each of the 37 consortial member institutions.

* Each consortial institution handles the selection process in accordance with their own internal selection processes. Candidates wishing information about the status of their application need to contact the designated person on each campus. A list of contacts for each campus is posted on the CSMP Sponsor Page.

* Once an applicant has accepted a fellowship at a member institution, his or her name will be posted on the CSMP Web Page.

Applicants are responsible for compiling all application materials. A complete application must include the following:
* CSMP Application (this form)
* Graduate School Transcripts
* Curriculum Vitae (you may attach to this application - see end of form)
* Three letters of reference (one reference letter must be from your dissertation advisor and; if you are a pre-doctoral applicant, your adviser must provide information about progress towards your degree.)
* Application materials should be forwarded to: Jean Cousins, CSMP Application Coordinator, Office of the President, 1121 Park Street, Grinnell, Iowa 50112
