Members: James Swartz (Chair), Gerald Adams, Mark Schneider, Pablo Silva, Elizabeth Dobbs, and Kendra Young (15-43).

1. The minutes from the 2/27/01 meeting were approved as corrected.

2. Changes from the Social Studies division.

a. HIS 241- new catalog description was approved
b. HIS 242 - new catalog description was approved
c. HIS 211 - new catalog description was approved
d. HIS 212 - new catalog description was approved
e. HIS 214 - new catalog description was approved
f. ECN 376 - new catalog description was approved
g. SOC 380 - new catalog description. The committee delayed action until they get information from the department about the staffing for this course and also information about the future of SOC 390
h. ANT 154 - change to Technology 154. The Science Division has approved this change but the Humanities Division has not. The committee delayed action until the Humanities Division has acted and we get information from the department about the staffing for this course.
i. POL 255 - new catalog description was approved

3. Global Development Studies. Both the Social Studies and Science Divisions have approved the changes for this concentration but the Humanities Division has not. The committee delayed action on these changes until the Humanities Division has reviewed this proposal.

4. Chinese/East Asian Studies Concentration. This proposal has been withdrawn until next year.

5. Policy Studies Concentration. The Social Studies Division has approved this proposal. The Science Division, with some modifications, has also approved it but the Humanities Division has not yet reviewed the proposal. The committee delayed any action until all three divisions have approved the modified proposal.
