The meeting was called to order at 12:15 P.M. in the second floor conference room of Nollen House.

Members present: Professors Moyer, Swartz and Harrison, Rohan Mandelia, Emerson Williams-Molett, Arnold Woods and Jim Sumner.
Guest present: Eric Staab
Members absent: Professors Tjossem and Ketter, Alfredo Rivera and Tom Crady.

The Committee was informed that Professor Ketter would be unable to attend the meeting.

Eric Staab led a conversation in follow-up to the last meeting regarding the possibility of adopting a need-sensitive admission policy for international students. He distributed a 3 page hand-out discussing various ways in which need-sensitive admission might be developed for international students. He also agreed to send the hand-outs to the 4 Committee members who were unable to attend the meeting.

The Committee eventually agreed to recommend a need-sensitive admission policy for this specific group of students and ask Eric Staab and Jim Sumner to combine elements of the various ideas preferred by the Committee, returning to the Committee with the proposal at their next meeting. Eric and Jim readily agreed to do just that.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:15 P.M.
