Minutes
Admission and Financial Aid Committee Meeting
November 4, 2002

The meeting was called to order at noon on Nov. 4 and all members were present. No guests were present.

It was agreed that SAT Mathematics score guideline established by the Committee at the end of the last semester was 450, rather than 500 as previously announced.

Following a discussion of the admission of College employees to degree status, it was agreed that Sumner would reproduce relevant portions from 2 campus publications and send them to the Committee members in hard copy. It was further agreed that this topic would be taken up again at a future meeting after each member has had an opportunity to read the pages to be distributed.

Sumner distributed a confidential executive summary of sorts concerning market research recently completed via contract for the College. Following a brief discussion it was agreed that this topic, too, would be revisited at a future meeting. Professor Cunningham will examine both the raw data collected and an earlier summary provided by the contractor, and the Committee will discuss the research in the context of the College's new Mission Statement and the desire to deliver the most accurate messages to prospective students and their families.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 12:50 PM.

Jim Sumner
