Center for Rural Affairs Organizing, Outreach & Communications (position filled) The Center's evolving organizing, outreach and communications efforts are creating new opportunities for our work to bring rural issues to a broader audience. Interested interns could work on website design, website content development, new media development, online outreach, paper and electronic newsletter design, outreach materials, constituent management, and other activities. We may have more than one intern in this area. Each intern is not expected to master all the activities listed above.

Faith Based Organizing on Rural and/or Sustainable Agriculture Issues The Rural Response Committee of the Nebraska Methodist Conference is sponsoring an intern to work at the Center on on faith-based organizing around issues important to rural people. An interested applicant will be asked to help develop a work plan that interests them, fits with current work at the Center and revolves around faith. The work is non-denominational. Rural Research & Analysis - Biofuels and Health care Reform Our research staff are undertaking new initiatives in the areas of biofuel production and health care reform. Both are emerging issues that will have potential broad-reaching impacts for rural people, rural communities, rural small businesses and family farmers and ranchers. Interns may work on one or both issue depending on needs and interests.

If interested in applying, we need three things from each of you.

* Please indicate which of the opportunities you may be interested in. You may indicate more than one.
* Please also indicate the time period(s) during which you are interested in undertaking your internship (for example, from June 1 - August 15th). Fall dates may work as well.
* Please along a resume and brief letter indicating your interests.
