Local Learning Areas - There are several areas near Grinnell that you can visit for self-guided tours of prairies and other native habitats. The Center provides tours to one or more of these places each year.

Major Issues Facing Prairies in Iowa - This page is a compilation of
opinions expressed by members of the Iowa Prairie Network, Iowa Native Plant
Society, and Iowa Chapter of The Nature Conservancy at a joint annual meeting
in September of 2002. Nearly 20 prairie experts from a variety of agencies and
organizations in Iowa provided written statements on their concerns for the future
of Iowa's prairies.
