This page will provide students with access to handouts related to the course, or supplementary materials.

1. Reading Journal Template. Save this template to your local computer and use it as your reading/writing journal.

2. American Anthropological Association writing style guide. This guide provides information on the appropriate writing style for submissions to the journal American Anthropologist. It uses The Chicago Manual of Style (14th edition, 1993) and Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (10th edition, 2000). While there are many acceptable styles that one could follow in writing a paper, we will use this one in order to keep the class consistent and make everyone familiar with one particular style.
