Discussion Board

In addition to completing readings prior to class, in order to facilitate discussion, you will be required to participate in an electronic discussion list, with specific questions, comments, objections, etc. to topics posted by the instructor.

These need not be lengthy (a couple of paragraphs maximum), and can take any form you like, as long as they are 1)legible; and 2)comprehensible, i.e., written with attention to grammar. It is expected that responses will be based primarily on the texts considered in the course, but they may also incorporate other materials from outside of class (perhaps a lecture, a poem, a current event). You are also encouraged to respond to your classmates' postings. Think of this exercise as a preliminary to your written work.

Students will be required to respond each week to a given question or topic, which will be posted on Thursday afternoons; you should respond no later than midnite on Sunday. You are also required to read the board each week prior to Tuesday's class meeting.

There will also be a posting for informal discussion and questions, should you wish to communicate with your classmates in this way.

You can find the discussion board HERE.

Your username and log-in (the seven-digit code) will allow you to enter the discussion board.
