The mandala is both the light and sound body of divinity.
Art and architecture replicate god's body as light. Music is the means for
replication god's sound-body, called nada-brahman. As in the medieval traditions
of Gothic architecture in which the cathedral, as the three-dimensional construction
of God's perfect geometrical mind, was the perfect acoustic arena, so Buddhist
and Hindu temples are designed to resonate with sacred sound. When the music
plays all aspects of the divine are brought into harmony. We can view images
of
music & dance, and
general
culture.
