This site serves to simulate the fieldwork encounter with the classical and folk artistic, architectural, and musical traditions of Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. For this reason, the site is organized on a spatial template, situating works of arts, temples, and music in the context of the specific cities-primarily Kathmandu, Pasupatinath, and Bhaktapur-where these cultural productions are found. The ultimate template for this mapping schema is the Sri Yantra, a Tantric cosmogram that serve to integrate the microcosm with the macrocosm by giving vibrant expression to a medieval idealization of space.
