This course assumes a basic knowledge of political science (POL 101). In addition, the material presented in this course will generally assume that students have previously taken courses in economics and are generally familiar with basic concepts in economics. Introduction to Economics (Economics 111) and International Economics (Economics 233) together provide an excellent background for this course.
