Homework Hint

Griffiths: Problem 1.10

Two comments:

1) The wording is not very clear:
Parts (a) and (b) are simply asking, "what are the new vectors when you perform the operations of translation and inversion?"
Part (c) is asking how a vector C=AxB transforms when you perform an inversion. Is this what you would expect of vectors or do we need to give it a name like "pseudo-vector"?

2) Be careful about whether you are talking about a set of coordinates or a vector when doing part (a). If I write (x,y,z) this could be either, but the two will transform differently. Think about how a vector like C=A-B would transform under translation.
