Three GIS-equipped computer labs, a digitizing workstation, and a large format plotter are available on the Grinnell College campus.

Burling Library
The Interactive
Instructional Facility (IIF), located in
the basement of Burling Library, is the primary computer lab for GIS use on campus.
In addition, a digitizing workstation connected
to a large format Calcomp digitizing tablet is located
on the main floor of the library, behind the Reference
Desk, and may be used upon request.
A large format networked plotter is also available
through the library. To use the plotter: set up GIS_PLOTTER
located at Burling Technical Services as a printer
on your computer. All plots will be paused until
arrangements for plotting and payment have been
made. |

Creative Computing Lab
The Creative Computing Lab (CCL) in the Forum supports media-intensive computing, creative projects, data representation, and research and provides a showcase for campus projects using new media technologies. ArcGIS 9.1 is installed on the two PCs in the main lab and the fifteen PCs in the training lab. |

Goodnow Hall Computer
Lab
The Goodnow Hall Computer Lab is located on the
third floor and contains two computers. Each computer
has an HP Deskjet color printer. One of the computers
has a Calcomp DrawingBoard III digitizing tablet. |

| Tablet PC Carts in ARH and Noyce Science Center
The campus has three carts with Tablet PCs (laptops) outfitted with wireless networking in order to support flexible computing needs in classes. All of the Tablet PCs have ArcGIS installed. ARH has one cart with 12 Tablet PCs (scheduling is available through the AV Center, x3121). The other two carts, a six-pack and a twelve-pack, are in Noyce Science Center (scheduling is available through the Science Division Office, x4107). |

Reservations
The Burling Library IIF is
scheduled through the library.
The other GIS spaces are scheduled through the Registrar for use during class hours and the Office
of Communication and Events for use at times when classes are not in session.
