Welcome to International Economics.

Syllabus:
The syllabus is an overview of the course, an explanation of assignments and a schedule for tests, papers and journals.

Term Paper:
Your term paper will interpret the international macroeconomic position of a country and the policy options it faces, based on our study of balance
of payments concepts and exchange rate determination in the first half
of the course.

Reading Journal:
The purpose of the journal is to encourage us to be aware of changing international economic circumstances and to apply some of our classroom insights in explaining those situations.

Blackboard discussion forum:
This is the place to look for assignments and class announcements. I will typically send these to you by email, but in case you don't receive them, check here.

Student Exercises and Comments:
In preparing your term paper on a country's macroeconomic policy, you will analyze its primary data using Excel. You can probably improve the quality of your term paper by considering whether patterns in your country are that different from patterns in similar or neighboring countries.
