Census
The U.S.
Bureau of the Census reports U.S. international trade data, broken down
by country and commodity.
BEA
The U.S.
Bureau of Economic Analysis reports balance of payments data and information
about U.S. multinational corporations that operate abroad (direct investment
abroad) and foreign multinational corporations that operate in the Untied
States (foreign direct investment).
BLS
The U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics reports wage data from several different
countries.
WTO
The World
Trade Organization, aside from making available reports on its dispute
settlement understanding and its trade policy review function, releases
several general international trade statistics.
UNCTAD
TRAINS
Current
data on imports and trade barriers, broken down by countries and commodities,
are provided by the UN Conference on Trade and Development. Historical
series must be purchased from UNCTAD).
NBER
Under
the data section, scroll down to International Trade Data, and you will
find useful data compilations provided by Robert Feenstra and Peter
Schott. For on campus access to the historical trade series compiled
by Statistics Canada, see me for further instructions.
USITC
Ths US
International Trade Commission, aside from making available reports
on the various trade cases it handles and other studies it completes,
provides general information on US tariffs and trade.
