Welcome to Chi 101, a dynamic language course for first-year mandarin Chinese students! In this course you will not only learn the basic knowledge of mandarin Chinese but also develop integrated language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. To compensate for the limited language exposure outside of class, you are encouraged to take advantage of our Chinese lab, Chinese table, and extra-curricular activities organized by the department to increase your opportunity of speaking Chinese. I will also incorporate AV materials and web-based activities to provide you with more authentic situations of Chinese language and culture.
