Since its inception in March, 1987, the Iowa Composers Forum has become a strong advocacy, service, and performing organization for living Iowa composers. Comprised of 70 members of varying ages, professional training, and interests, the ICF has earned a reputation for musical quality, diversity, and programmatic innovation. Through concerts, workshops, and panel presentations, Newsletters, and annual festivals, the ICF has promoted awareness of Iowa composers and their music, enhanced networking opportunities for Iowa composers and listeners, fostered the creation of new work, and enriched the cultural climate of Iowa.
