J.W. Saxe Memorial Prize

J.W. SAXE MEMORIAL PRIZE

A prize of $1500 will be awarded to one or more college or university students involved in public service.

The award is meant to enable the student to gain practical experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job or internship during a summer or other term. Preference will be given applicants who have already found such a position, but who require additional funds.

Applicants should send a resume together with a statement of short and long term goals to the J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund, 124 31st Street N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007. Please include statements from three references as well as a supporting letter from a faculty member.
